Floor Store at your Door. I had my suspicion from day one but went against my better judgement. Had them do my bathroom about 5 years ago. Just developed a leak from the bathtub. The plumber just informed me that it is an ILLEGAL setup. They did not put a PTRAP on the bathtub drain. Tried calling their number but you get a recording. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY , Also to saleswoman 'KATE" is a BIG BS ARTIST. Stay away. Also the bathroom countertop was chipped on the backside corner and hid with grout. Tiles are cut crooked. The work order was inaccurate. detail of work poor.

Stay away from this company. They are a ripp off. The detail of the work was poor, the quote was off, if you try to cancel they want to charge 20%. Look elsewere. Save your time and money. The sales woman was not honest , the customer service nonexsistant, the bathroom was installed with a damaged counter top, the tiles in bathromm cut uneven. Horrible company, what a mistake. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND LOOK ELSEWHERE. This company is a ripoff, do not use them at all. I would never recommend them and they are very unprofessional.. good luck and I hope this review will save you.

Floor Store At Your Door --horrific tile installation

Be aware of this company, Floor Store At Your Door. They are rip off artists and if you are contacted by them, just RUN AWAY. We are terribly disappointed with the scope and detail of the tile work in our bathroom. It and has been unacceptable from the start. Beginning with John and the lack of communication on his part with us as we asked him about the work, the problems we were seeing with the work and his reluctance to adjust his mind set to create a more sound and waterproof product. Next Mike came on board who was much more willing to cooperate in his communication with us, but the quality of his workmanship has left us with a bathroom that needs to almost be started from scratch. This is such a shame because as the project progressed, many times we asked Katie (Kay) to come out and do an inspection with us of the bathroom and at no time did she come out to our house. This was in sharp contrast to what Katie (Kay) expressed to us when we met her for the first time and she told us that she is the project manager for our job and that we could contact her at any time for issues dealing with the job. Since then I brought in two time experts and both---each unaware of what the other had said----explicitly stated that the tile job was a disaster and needed to be started over again. One tile person said he would not touch the job because of the labor involved in correcting the current mistakes. During the bathroom tile process, Mike was apprised of the issues involved, but these issues that were present in the beginning of the job again surfaced at the end of the job ten-fold. Mike did appear at our house again without any prior word from either him or Katie (Kay). At this time, our cousin took him into the bathroom and showed him all the mistakes---Mike's comment was "Well I believe I can fix those problems given enough time. I think" Well Katie, my question to you is "why did Mike make all those mistakes in the first place and what makes him even think that he could correct the issues when he could not do it right in the first place?" "¢ The medicine cabinet which Mike wanted so badly and which sat around for days before being put in place is set in the wall incorrectly----the top is positioned properly but the bottom slants inward thus not allowing the door to open beyond the half-way point. As a matter of fact he pushed the cabinet far into the back wall that part to the edge of the cabinet came out the other side of the back wall. So the door does not open since it hits tile. Also, the hinges of the door are packed with grout. The tile is not set flush with the sides of the cabinet and there is a mass of caulking around the cabinet. This is unacceptable. "¢ There are missing pieces of the trim tile "¢ Trim Tile is wavy in several spots and is not flush with the tile "¢ Many tile sections are not aligned properly with other tile and although Mike said the grouting was complete, he left without grouting the entire tile to at least fill in the spaces between the tile pieces. "¢ There are huge gaps around the tub which Mike put in place and the large gaps at each corner of the tile surrounding the tub and ceiling (which he never finished). "¢ The fan/ceiling light was just left hanging and I had to bring in someone else to set that in place before it fell down "¢ There is a sharp edge of trim tile embedded in the grout that has already sliced one finger "¢ Tile is sticking out at angles from the wall and not aligned to other tile pieces "¢ There is so much grouting used to fill spaces where tile need to be that one could call this the "grout" room "¢ Also, the sink cabinet was not set properly in place---one of the legs does not touch the floor and it wobbles---yet Mike did nothing about this. "¢ Mike had to fix one side of the tiled wall because the tile and tile trim were not set correctly. The second attempt brought some results, but the workmanship was still poor. If they could not fix the project in two attempts what makes them think that they can fix it in three attempts Here is the best part---we gave them 50% up front for the job…and they want up to pay the remainder of the balance for this miserable job…..which now needs to be started over from scratch. Oh, if you do hire this company, and if you expect Katie (Kay) to stop over your house to inspect the work through the renovation process. Don't hold your breath or you will stop breathing.

Floor Store at your Door- HORRIBLE

I usually don't write reviews but I felt the need to do so in case in the hopes that maybe I can save someone else some serious money, time and disappointment. We contracted with Kate of Floor Store to remodel our bathroom because they were offering a special in the local paper. First, we were told (and it was stated in the contract) that the job would take 7 days and we would be 3 days without a shower…well it wound up taking 11 days and we were without a shower for 7 days. But I can live with that if the job was done right….the problem was that it wasn't. We should've known when instead of being able to pick things out from a warehouse, we had to do it from a catalog but in any case we picked a vanity and thought we were set to go. Mind you we selected everything and entered into a contract in June 2012 but the work was planned to start in late August 2012 (so there was plenty of time to make sure everything was as contracted and discussed). Well we were told that the vanity we selected was damaged and it would take WEEKS to get the same model so our options were to wait WEEKS for this one or to pick another one in its place. I was not happy because I had everything matched out perfectly but couldn't bear going more weeks without a sink so we selected a second vanity which I didn't love. Well low and behold the job manager calls us and tells us that the second one is damaged as well. After I voiced my disgust and told them to take it back and that I wanted a credit to buy a vanity on my own, "miraculously" they got another one. Well they installed the 3rd vanity and finally we thought they were done. We paid them and the next day….voila….the vanity drawer falls apart. We tried calling and emailing Kate and after saying she would speak to her boss, we never heard back from her again after they cashed our check. Well I'm currently in process of disputing the deposit we put on our credit card. And if that doesn't work, I'm going to small claims court. I'm not letting them get away with this. Please don't do business with these people. They might be cheaper than other people but it's for a reason. The quality of their materials is horrible and their customer service is a disgrace. They are responsive up until they get their paycheck. Kate gave me some song and dance about how the owner of the company personally goes to every job. Well if that's the case then he should have a little more pride in his work.

Charged 20% cancellation fee

Do not trust this co. Sales person comes to your home to sell you flooring that should have been a warning sign. After realizing I made a mistake I tried to cancel the contract and they pointed out there is a 20% cancellation fee , yet I did not receive any product, service, or even make an appointment for installation. Now I am in a credit card dispute. The salesperson did not bother to tell me about all the fine print. Also told me what I would get , yet did not bother to write it all down on the contract. Read carefully before you sign and I know better. Salesperson fooled my wife and I, not easy to do she seemed very trust worthy. We both feel like fools.

Floor Store at your Door: Don't use them

The invoice is not accurate, the total does not add up and when brought to the notice of the person she added $655 dollars to the bill which was not there on the one we signed off. When the person came to our house she promised us something different and we had a contract when we checked the contract the total did not add up so we sasked her to explain and she says there are costs that she did not mention on it. If the vendor forgets to put things on the contract how is the fault of the customer and why should we have to pay for something that should not have costed us more money?

I agree they screwed me too. I am in a credit card dispute with them now want.

They want 20% payment $1300 for simply canceling my order. It was not a special order, no work was done,etc.

Sold defective carpeting, refused to pay on court order, filed bankruptcy.

Floor Store At Your Door installed defective carpeting in my home. They refused to do anything about it, even though carpet had many pulls within the first month. I was forced to take them to court and I was awarded all of my money and expenses. The owner, Kay Morgan, refused to pay me, and filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy which she was awarded last year 2009. She stated she had no assets, but she moved all of her stock from a huge warehouse prior to filing. Ms. Morgan owed out over $500,000 to various creditors and on existing defaults due to her defective sales. She was awarded the Chapter 7 Bankruptcy, and didn't pay anyone a penny. I just received a copy of Home & Decor Ideas, and found a full page ad, on page 12, showing that Ms. Morgan is back in business again only to continue to rip off her customers. How can someone go back into business and run a full page ad in less then a year after filing bankruptcy, and stating she had no assets at all? Please don't do business with this company located in Lakewood, NJ, as you probably will find yourself in the same boat that many of her past customers have.

They are so deceiving. Took an order and credit card payment for a floor, knowing they were never going to bring it.

Waited 3 weeks till delivery. They never called or showed up!!I called from several different numbers and still no answer. They claimed I cancelled.

We did get money back on credit card. Trying to report to BBB!!!
