I was looking for a side bank to use like a savings account. Split my direct deposit two ways, so the money I couldn’t see would actually be saved while the rest went to pay bills. Out of sight, out of mind. 1st CB was convenient for that. They are in my local Kroger’s so if I actually needed to pull or add money other than through direct deposit, I could stop on my way to getting groceries. I’ve... Read more

Took out a fresh starter loan and they first say not approved then called back and left a message on my voicemail to call in to discuss this loan. They asked me to send proof of length of work history and my check first check stub since I just started on my new job. Faxed information same day as requested the teller from the bank I took the loan out at not only faxed my documents but also emailed... Read more

My husband and I have used First Convenience Bank for 5 or 6 years. We love our local branch and the staff. We live in a relatively small town and the hours fit our schedule. If we have any questions, we always go to the branch for resolution. We NEVER, EVER, attempt to call the 800 number because customer service is useless. Our largest complaint is that the bank will hold transactions for a... Read more

It's really simple, it's a low grade bank with lots of fees. The online statements are never accurate. If you have a Fresh Start loan, overdraft privileges are not continued. Wait! Not true! I kept up with my account and I had 225.00 in my account. Even has the receipts to price it. Yet they took out 432.99 for a bill that shouldn't have gone through an usually would charge 34.97. But no,... Read more

On Friday, after all the bills were paid, my husband & I had $32 left in our bank account. On Monday, I went to the grocery store to pick up some frozen pizzas for dinner as the kids were sick & that is what the oldest wanted. I spent less than $9 which according to my online banking cleared the same day, leaving a balance of $23. On Tuesday, I had to pay our internet bill which was $46.... Read more

My husband and I have been banking with First Convenience Bank for a year now. We're very displeased with the lack of convenience that we've experienced over the last 5 days with this bank. My husband and I are very responsible with our money and have never over drafted on our account; Not just our account with this bank but any account, ever. On Sunday, July 7, 2013 I happened to check my... Read more

I've never had a bank that holds transactions for a week. I called their customer service and was told, it wasn't their fault but the merchants. I've dealt with other banks, and they automatically subtract your purchase from your balance, and deny your card if you are about to go over your account balance. Also, it does not take a merchant 7 days to request to get paid from a bank. No smart... Read more
