I screwed up and ordered the wrong part. Called them up to verify what I actually need. They gave me a Return Authorization Number for the part I ordered wrong. I ordered the correct part and they sent it out the same day and THEY paid for the shipping. I believe most of the complaints I read about etrailer are because there are a few guys like me not ordering the correct part in the first... Read more

I ordered a trailer hitch for a nissan nv200. Ordered RV foldout steps to replace my broken ones and they sent them quickly. They got to me quickly but didn't fit as they were too close to trailer frame. Etrailer said they would fit and were supposed to be compatible. I had to pay for shipping both ways to complete the return, so be careful what you order. They shipped wrong bracket for a fifth wheel hitch I purchased. They sent the correct bracket but I have to pay return shipping for the wrong brackets they sent. You find this out after they bill you for the correct brackets and will credit your payment method once they receive the incorrect ones back. No big deal right. Bought item w/ manufacturing defect-poor quality. Etrailer advises I will have to pay return shipping, but to expect partial refund in 14 days after it arrived to them.Nineteen days later I called questioning, "Why no refund?" & complained about this policy. I called and asked for help buying a roof rack and cargo carrier for my vehicle. The rack fit, the cargo carrier didn't. Etrailer told me it would fit before I purchased but wouldn't expedite shipping of a replacement or send a replacement until the wrong unit was back in MO. Long and short of it, eTrailer needs to join the 21st century and update their website. Not only is it visually terrible and hard to use, they offer no "in-stock status" online, so they're happy to take your money for a backordered part (while conveniently NOT telling you it's out of stock or even while it will ship), then eventually getting around shipping it to you while you wait..and... I have dealt with e trailer for a long time and they have been great. These people that complain would do so if their ice cream was too cold. Get a life no one is perfect The only person I know that was perfect was crucified. Damaged goods are the responsibility of the carrier. Not e trailer. You need to wake up.
