Ed Jones is notorious for keeping their rat claws in your money for as long as they can. Not only do they get paid quarterly for "managing" your money, but they also get paid every time you ask them to move it. They are instructed by headquarters to tap into your emotions, and if necessary, bring religion into it. The Ed Jones advisor in my area just made my grandmother cry this morning! My... Read more

About 3 years ago went to a financial advisor for the first time to open an IRA. Worst mistake not studying the industry and investing before going to a Financial advisor. So if you are NEW stay clear of Edward Jones they do not truly advise what is best for you they are thinking about their commissions Period. What kind of IRA did they SELL me? a front Load fee over 5% fund that had an annual... Read more

The Pierce County County Superior Court awarded me my account at Edward Jones during a Divorce. Edward Jones is refusing to release the account to me because they are claiming the order doesn't require them to. They are just going to keep the money unless I hire an attorney which will cost a few thousand and the account is only worth $18,776. Edward Jones is claiming that the order stating all... Read more

I invested over $250,000 of after-tax funds with Christopher Nyhan of Burnt Hills NY, an Edward Jones associated "Retirement Investment Advisor". He was eager to get the account, and spent large amounts of time telling me how reputable he was, reciting his local associations like his son's Little League team, and trying to sound reputable. In retrospect, it sounded very much like the dishonest... Read more

I invested $45,000 with E. Jones 8 months ago into what I thought was a very conservative investment. Today that investment is worth a little over $37,000. Had I left the money in my bank account that was paying 1% interest I would be much better off today. They convinced me that I had too much money in cash, which I knew, and suggested investments that lost close to $8,000 in 8 months. Avoid... Read more

My name is Beth Leilani Mercado. Recently, I cashed some of my investments. Afterwards, I emailed the person I worked with, wanting to cash everything. I believe his name is Michael Simms. Despite several follow ups, I have not received any reply. I also emailed the secretary, which just fell on deaf ears. Please follow this up with your branch. I want to cash out all of my investments.... Read more

EDJ is as *** to advisors as they are clients.....they faked info about me when I left for another firm where I could really help people....took 6 months working with the federal regulator to get it fixed....contemplating suit against them now. It is advisor elementary school....they lure new people, beat them up and dump them...give the accounts to established people. Terrible commissions,... Read more

To start when i first opened my account way back approximatly 2006/2007 my account started out a apple tree ripe for the picking and being uneducated in the fanancial industry i decided to get educated and start reading because some how all my accounts became all dsc holdings and after reading found out that you should try and avoid these becuse you cannot move out of them and into anything else... I invested $5000 five years ago in a tax annuity with Edward Jones. I would have been better off if I had paid taxes on the money and put it in a savings account. Now I have less than $2000 left and they sent me a bill every year. These guys are all about making a commission and nothing else. I invested $5000 five years ago in a tax annuity with Edward Jones. I would have been better off if I... Read more
