They are crooks and they will not answer the phone or your emails. My wife bought me a NES for x-mas and it was supposed to come with the first mario/duckhunt and mario 3.

When we opened the box I got a slip of paper saying that mario 1 was back ordered and it would be shipped out asap. When my wife called to make sure the system would ship in time the rep told her everything was in stock and would be there on time. We hooked the game up to our lcd TV and it would not work. The rep told her that everything BUT the gun would work on ANY TV!

We moved the system to an older TV and as soon as we hit power it started blinking and wouldnt come on. After taking the game out 4 or 5 more times mario 3 came on but had lines all through the screen and big black blocks all over the screen. We played it for about 5 mins and it started blinking again. Also, my wife was told we would get a real NES gun for the duckhunt game and we were sent this chinese piece of *** that weighs about 3 oz.

I emailed pics of the mario 3 game in action and all I got was an email saying that I needed to clean the game and system with q-tips and alcohol! If you look on the website it says all systems are checked and CLEANED! This *** CHRIS told me that they didnt clean the gmaes or systems! I am not paying $115.90 for something that I have to clean the very first time and right out of the *** box!

I files a complaint with the BBB and what a surprize they have over 20 compaints and have an F rating with the BBB! I called my CC company and they are trying to get my money also. I have the womans number who I think owns the company! She wont answer of course.

I WILL GET MY GD MONEY BACK! I will hire a lawyer and call the local media! I dont care if it cost 1000's of dollars to hire a lawyer, they have screwed the last victim!

Buy from Pedro, you can find his site on ebay! DONT BUY FROM THESE CROOKS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Monetary Loss: $115.

Location: Fort Mill, South Carolina

I wouldn't buy from them in the first place. That are over priced.

Guest

well it from 2009 maybe at 2016 they are great business

It is common for an NES to blink on and off. The 10NES chip causes that and you should probably look up on youtube for a tutorial on how to disable the chip.

I've ordered from them more than once and have nothing but good to say about them. The systems and games I bought work flawlessly and I have a NES and two games on the way.

I already know they're going to be temperamental, they're old, but I've never had a issue with the SNES and games I bought as they're in perfect condition. Also, the current technology makes it hard to use those old games, you have to reach a middle ground with it. And if your going to complain about the controller, next time you and your wife should read the details of the product your buying. The first gen controllers, the real ones, are rare and expensive to get your hands on, however, there are tons of after market controllers that aren't rare and cheap.

The consoles you buy will come with these aftermarket controllers, if you want a real one, your going to have to buy it separately because they're rare!

I've got two after market SNES controllers and a real first gen SNES controller that I paid a good chunk of money for. If you want old games, and old systems, you need to understand how hard, temperamental, and costly it's going to be instead of blaming a really good company for things they can't fix.

I don't mean to be obnoxious or mean, but your REVIEW is a joke, not the website. I'm sorry, but I laughed when I read that the Zapper didn't work on your LCD TV.

Just so you know, the Zapper only works on "tube" TVs (with curved screens). Also, as previous responses have already stated, it is typical and, in fact, to be expected, for the NES to glitch, flash, and be difficult (In my personal opinion, getting games to work is half the fun, but I'm probably just psychotic).

ugh stop complaining about how the system did not work it happens! the stuff is very temperamental.

what happens is that when gear gets older, it starts to wear.

this happens to everything not just games so quit blaming the company. buying consoles from the internet is not very smart unless it is from ebay, or buy it in a store like destiney games

How'd that go for you? :( :cry :( :cry :cry :cry

Sounds expensive to sue for a couple hundred bucks supposedly.

Lawyers fees would be more. :cry

First off, you over paid by about $90 lol. If you did a little research you could have got one on eBay for about $30.

Secondly, NES blinks. Thats what it does. It did that in 1986 when i got it right out of the box, and its till doing it in 2011. You can CLEAN it all you want, but its not going to change anything.

Lines are because the game glitched. Like the NES blinks, the games glitch up. Thats what happened 30 years ago.

And thirdly, way to spam another site. That completely takes away all your credibility right there. You completely bad mouth a place and then spam a competitor. lol i wouldnt doubt if you were "PEdro" loser.

These Retro Gamers don't have a clue. A system was purchased that was supposed to work.

It was supposed to have been cleaned and tested.

So why should the buyer have to clean it and replace parts when they get it?? You Retro Gamers are clueless.

Guest

Quit :cry and do some research. The blinking lights mean that the 72-pin connector is worn. Its not a cleaning problem, it just needs to be replace. Order one online for 3$ + 3$ shipping and replace it. It's not rocket science. Second, the Rep you spoke to is a ***. You dont clean the copper tips with rubbing alcohol, it damages them and will lead to quick wear. Use a eraser instead. The lines your talking about are the fact that the prongs at the end of the game cartrige arent making contact with the motherboard, so again, its a problem with the pin-connector. They probobly did a light cosmetic clean, but its still a 25 Year-old console, and can be very touchy at this age.

Onto problem 2: the Zapper's usually weigh only a couple on ounces, and do not work on flatscreen tv's, only old glass analog ones. Some foreign companies might make replications, but they WILL look the same. If you can, post a link to a photo of what your talking about.

"The game had 1000 lines through it"

The console only emulates roughly 120 Pixels, so a "100 lines" isin't true. Maybe every pixel denominator (20?), but thats bull.

"I have contacted the BBB and my CC company and also the local media does a piece every night on crooked people like DKoldies."

How are they crooks? Your arguing that your 25 Year-old console isin't working like you bought it yesterday? Oh no! Their total frauds! You absolutely MUST contact everyone you know! While your at it, contant the DEA, they could also be smuggling cocaine in those consoles!

"They have their system back and I still dont have a refund."

Return policies state that if they don't work, they replace them. Theres a money-back garentee, but the console isin't broken.

"I have pictures of what the system was doing as well as emails saying I would get a refund and also tracking info that is proof the system was delivered back to dkoldies on 1/15/10."

THE SYSTEM WASEN'T BROKEN!, and do you really expect then to ship it back right away? They first have to test YOUR console, on top of all the games and consoles they have on them BEFORE they ship them/sell them, its only been 5 Business days, and its a 5 Pound console, your not getting first-class mail for free, you know?

"I have the owners home phone number as well. I also have family that lives near by in PA and we will see if they get ignored when they show up."

So your going to be an *** to the guys family, even though its your ignorance that got you here in the first place?

Okay, well my rant is over. Good luck being a ***.

I dont give a *** what you think you little ***! The gun is a cheap chinese made piece of ***.

The game had 1000 lines through it after it came on for 2 sec and started blinking again. I have contacted the BBB and my CC company and also the local media does a piece every night on crooked people like DKoldies. They have their system back and I still dont have a refund. I have pictures of what the system was doing as well as emails saying I would get a refund and also tracking info that is proof the system was delivered back to dkoldies on 1/15/10.

I will get my money back one way or the other.

I have the owners home phone number as well. I also have family that lives near by in PA and we will see if they get ignored when they show up.

1st off, he said it had been cleaned, never said when, never said how well, secondly I have purchased off of this site for a while and they have yet to disappoint. Thirdly, If you knew anything about retro games you would know that the blinking light on an NES signifies a connection error, meaning it needs to be cleaned.

Also, when buying an original NES you should also replace the 72 pin connector when you get it, the pins bend due to a design flaw.

I personally think that this is just a case of poor research. And, about the light zapper, they all weigh about 3 oz,and they don't work on flatscreens.

They also have been known not to work anymore due to old age. i believe you are over reacting
