in December we found a new handicapped apartment for my husband and paid the first months rent even though we could not move until the middle of january. Called in to Directv - my recorded play back was terrible. They rebooted etc and sent me on. A week lateral me problem plus I had my NFL ticket freezing on me. No storm - all other channels were fine. They said they would send someone out. They did and billed be $49. To send someone out for 10 mins and leave my gate ope to least my dog run out. I made an appointment for service on one of my receivers. They set the date and told me the service guy would be here between 8:00 am and Noon. They didn't arrive! I called DirecTV support who told me the guy would be here by 1:00 pm. Didn't show-up! A payment somehow was made on the wrong account, and its 2 months later. they still have not posted this on the correct account. Its my money, how is this not resolved!??? Then after I moved, they had the nerve to offer me free upgrades and CHARGE it to my account. I spoke with at least 2 people and they ensured there would be no fees. I am extremely disappointed in Directv customer service! I ordered their ultimate package with the free upgrade to Genie etc. and had to pay $121.32 for the installation after their advert said, "No equipment to buy! No start-up costs" 1. First I cannot believe that a company that delivers excellent service chooses to be so sleazy in their billing department. Best you read every statement before filing away. I added as a gift to my husband and son a NBA pass last year, but they fail to tell you that you must stop the renew at the next year starting period. Wanted to change my dead son's account to my own name, When I called customer service I was passed from agent to agent. Then I was told they would have to call me back. They never did. I signed up for service on 8/30. I was promised a bill of around 65/mo, including 3 months of premium channels at no charge. First month's bill was correct. Second month's bill shot up to 162.53 for no reason. Called in to correct it, correction was never applied. November's bill was 227.24.
