My family doctor placed me on short term disability on October 16th, and from that day forward it has been a fight with Dearborn. I filled out all the paperwork, had my doctor also send them everything they requested, and it still was a fight.

They would lie about the check being sent out and it was never received, then when I called to ask, they said "oh, no. It was sent out last week, it will be tomorrow, which was a Tuesday, ....

So I finally wised up and sent in the form for the direct deposit.

Since then, I have consulted another doctor who is an psychologist. Now Dearborn is requesting her medical notes, which are the notes she takes while we are in session. I thought the reason you go to a psychologist is for it to be confidential. Even though my psychologist wrote them a letter stating that I was in fact her client, how often we met, which illnesses she was treating me for, etc. Dearborn refused to accept that.

Now I haven't been paid for 4 weeks. I have spoken to Melissa Nee, Melissa's supervisor, Sarah Yates, Sara's supervisor, Karen (last name unknown) last Friday, March 14th. Karen said she would look into my claim and call me back on Monday. Well today is Monday and I did not receive a phone call. So at 3:00pm, I called to see if Karen was still in, and of course she was gone for the day. So I then left a message on Marvin (unknown last name) voicemail, who is suppose to be Karen's boss.

Every time I speak with anyone from this company they are argumentative, blunt and honestly just outright rude.

If anyone is still interested in filing suit against this company, please contact me.

Monetary Loss: $2400.

I will gladly join you and any others to go after dearborn national, I have had nothing but trouble with them on many different levels. Starting with duplicate and redundant paperwork, requesting Dr's reports of office visits, procedures, ect.

over and over again. Latest package of paperwork is asking about my family members, their personal information, their source of income, and amount, my education, and resumes, "really".

Sorry & empathetic. I thought dealing with them as they harassed, threatened, and selectively lost paperwork before arbitrarily saying I was suddenly cured after 8 years was difficult.

But now in suing them, they are demanding the same as you've mentioned. Seriously? My family is dead and policy did not include them or any right to ask them diddly squat, let alone invade their privacy, and who cares about my resume from 20 years ago, especially when I'm past the first 2-year period, etc. But here's the kicker...my lawyers are yet worse.

If you intend to sue, a) be mindful of statute of limitations and b) be very careful you don't get industry lawyers. Wishing you health above all and peace and justice.
