This is actually my second horrible experience with this company. I filled a Rx through my insurance, which processed fine. I then submitted it through mail to Caremark for secondary coverage. My 91 year old mother was prescribed Albuterol solution to use in a Nebulizer. She has Aetna-Medicare Advantage /Caremark-Silverscript. All of her other medications are mail ordered through Caremark. I ordered 1 prescription from Caremark 1 month ago and they have yet to deliver it. I have made NUMEROUS phone calls to their "customer service." This is the third time I have had to call CVS Caremark regarding a delay in shipping my Rx. The times before, they were able to expedite. CVS Caremark received my mail order prescription and sat on it for 5 days before I finally emailed to check on the disposition. Lo and behold, after being transferred 4 times and being on the phone for a total of 40 mins., I found out that they simply needed my ok to charge the credit card I gave them on the mail in order form. I have never seen such disregard for patients and lack of professionalism. I have spent countless hours on the phone (after my physician has spoken to them) to get them to respond as to why they abruptly cancel my RX or send the wrong meds or send an incomplete # of pills. I have had numerous issues with the lack of costomer service provided by caremart. My most recent: I discontinued my automatic refill for my rx over three months ago. Despite doing so, cvs continued to send me a four month supply. I sent one package back to the Illinois address. (at my own expense). Then, 3-4 months later I get another 4 months supply! My wife has been on Fentanyl patches for several years now. Three times my insulin has been delivered when I was out of town. The medication was ruined. Every time they tell me that it has been noted in my file not to send without my request, but it continues to happen. They will not let me refill any of my prescriptions at a regular pharmacy and specifically require a mail order which takes over a week. There is often no warning for the changes in refill rules.
