Bankers Conseco in Rochester is a pure joke

I was called out of the blue about coming into a interview. To amuse myself I did go and found out that it was just as I thought a joke. Look them up in NY and find out what has happened with this so called company from the Department of Insurance etc... and the settlement from the department of labor. STAY AWAY. I work for a reputable company now selling insurance and I am very happy. Thankfully I was smart enough to move as far away from them as I could. I don't think that anybody makes more than 20k per year which is a far cry from what they promise. You can see right through the fake managers as soon as the presentation starts. They could at least find better actors.

I have been attempting to get information on my mother's two annuity policies since June 2016 for the purpose of fulfilling requirements for Medicaid. Here is who Client Services are, Alliance-One Services, which is a third party Administrator which performs a variety of administrative services for insurance policies in accordance with a servicing contract between the administrator and the insurance company. This Third Party Administrator provides customer service for policies on behalf of Conseco in collecting premiums and applications, claims processing, benefit payments, and any other service request relating to policies or contracts. Each time I have called, they have a hard time finding the annuity policy numbers. When I contacted them in June of 2016, I was told no information could be given to me because there was no POA on file. I sent in a copy to Conseco, then over a month later I received two letters on the annuities but not with the correct information needed. I contacted them again, then was told the POA was not valid because it had a page missing. Sent in another copy of the POA. Called back about a week later was told the POA was still invalid. Questioned what was invalid, was told could not give any information due to not being legally allowed. Have been in battle with this company for the past three weeks now. Sent in a Letter of Consent signed by my mom who is in a nursing home and notarized. Faxed the Letter of Consent, called this company to check on the status of the fax, was told it had not arrived (this was 24 hours later!!!!). Finally, someone found the fax and instructed them to please send the information via fax within the next 24 hours. Checked back again 24 hours later and was told there was no record of the fax nor the Letter of Consent. This is just a short version of what has happened in the last three weeks. Have been told of a so called letter sent to me from their legal department informing me of what is needed on the POA August 11th, still no letter has arrived at mine nor my aunt's home as of Saturday the 20th. They refused to transfer me to a supervisor, stating none were available. Refused to transfer me to the legal department, stating they don't receive calls. Refused to transfer me to management, stating they would contact me in 24 to 48 hours, this was told to me on Thursday, August 18th!!!! Still no contact from this so called company has occurred.

My husband and I have long-standing life insurance policy with Conseco Life Insurance Co. This month we were billed twice from our checking account. After finally talking with someone after an hour, we were assured this would be rectified. However that was 10 days ago and they have still not removed the extra charge. It is almost impossible to reach a human after the recording that wouldn't even recognized my policy number. It is almost impossible to talk to a human.

I received a call from "Julie" about a sales position, even though I never applied for one.

When I received a call from Julie from Bankers, I was a little weary about it. First, I never applied for a sales position (I'm a pharmacy Technician) Secondly, when she told me she would send me details through E-mail and to check my Spam Folder...that sent off warning bells. I did research on this company and figured out it was a scam, I called Julie back and asked her to give me the full name of the corporation She spelled it out to me "Bankers Conseco" I told her I read online about Scam complaints and then she hung up on me. So, DO NOT fall for this! Always research companies you've never heard of and be weary about job searching, and out of the blue phone calls that have nothing to do with your current or past positions or skills.

Corporations can use these tactics freely because the know, there is absolutely no way to push concrete evidence on anyone over the Internet.

Unless Law enforcement stood right next to you and physically watched and taped you Breaking a law.

It's simply he said she said.

Don't be scared to higher a hacker to drop a virus on their door step. I would.

Bankers Conseco Health Insurance Review

Used automatic payment without permission by copying routing number from premium check. Supervisor answered our complaint and was extremely rude. Extremely difficult to do business with. Coverage was not as promised. Never do business with them again. Do not want to hear from them about this. Very stressful experience.

A Call Out of the Blue.

I received a message on my phone stating,"my resume has been seen and the company manager would like to meet with me for an interview." I DID NOT apply for a sales position. Although I have posted my resume on the internet, it's for a medical position. I am a seasoned x-ray technologist. I did not respond immediately because something didn't feel right. I never heard of Bankers Conseco. After a bit of research about the company, in my opinion, it isn't for me at all!! I had no intention to join a company that seems shady at best. If it's sounds to good to be true, read, read read and read some more. Thank you for saving my time. HC

Mysterious job offer

I received a phone call from this company...using my name........and stating that they're calling in response to my resume, and would like to talk to me some more. Ummmm. I have never heard of this company, and have submitted one resume in the past year to a design company. Crazy suspicious. I don't have time for nonsense. But where did they get my name and number??????????????????????????????????? I have no interest, and immediately don't trust them. I called back to pretend, just to see what their story is as to when I supposedly submitted this resume, but they never picked up. I called at least 11 times. Finally, I left a message, and received another phone call back (at a bad time) so they left a *** message again. I hate them, but I have to investigate further.

EMPLOYMENT/PAYMENT SCAM

I worked for bankers conseco for 10mths. I did well and made some money but I had to have surgery and resigned. Four mths after my surgery I recieved a call from the company telling me I owed them over $300 called charge backs for a policy I wrote and got paid for. MONEY I RIGHTFULLY EARNED. After my initial shock wore off I asked the lady on the phone why was I being charged for someone cancelling a policy mths after I resigned and was told that as long as I was paid for the policy at the policy's cancellation I am on the hook for the money they lost paying me for my work. At my initial interview and during training I were told charge backs only applied while you worked for the company and they take it out of your next commission check. I brought this up to the lady on the phone and she said it's written in the employment contract. So they tell you everything you want to hear at the interview and during training and purposely leave that part out because they know anyone with common sense will walk out. I was fortunate to do well for the time I was there and on some days I lost more money on gas, tolls, parking, and on some days lunch but some people that started with me were not that fortunate and lost a lot more money than they made so if they already left and didn't get the call I got they're in for a big surprise. So if I made $10K working for 8 mths and all those people cancelled I would owe bankers $10K and the lady on the phone co-signed it. STAY FAR AWAY FROM BANKERS CONSECO!!!

Bankers Conseco a reputable company

After reading many of the complaints from relatives of policy holders, and from job seekers my conclusion is simple. Either you are ignorant of the facts and have chosen to remain so or you are simply misinformed. I come from a health background as a Medicare provider and joined "Bankers" eight months ago. I can tell you it is a hard business. There is significant turnover as many people are not use to hard work and persistence and want a free ride. In New York state where I work, I will lose my insurance license if I misrepresent a product. If can not prove it is a suitable product, especially now with annuity products the penalty id severe. My experience has shown me that many people do not know much about insurance and can be easily "sold" a policy. It is you job as a consumer to understand and to demand you understand all facets of a policy you are going to buy. As for complaints about not being able to reach the company and getting the run around, you are mostly the problem. Every branch office has a manager and that person assigns a person to work specifically with "orphan" account. An "orphan" account is a policy holder who has no agent. If you do not have an agent you need to get one assigned to you and have them review you coverage. It is a commissionable business and the agents are paid on 1099 just like a real estate agent. When buying a policy if you do not know how it works such as in a Long Term Care Policy is the agent to blame? Would you buy a car not knowing how it worked? There are specific rules that govern these policies and from what I have read most people have not a clue as to how they work.

Bankers Conseco Employment Scam

Why am I not surprised to find so many employment complaints about this company? I made the poor decision to work there for a whopping 2 months which is all the time it took me to figure out that this is nothing but an employment scam. And I'm probably forgiving compared to most folks who would never start working here at all. Unethical and borderline criminal management, this firm takes advantage of young people looking for a real job. They promise leads that are nothing more than rehashed sales calls. My "manager" who had no idea how to lead a work force was an intolerant fool who made inappropriate comments in company meetings about employees and customers alike. I was "trained" by a "manager" who came to Conseco from a multiple 6 figure income and who made a whopping $16,000 his first year there. I should have left the place then. Here is why Bankers Conseco needs to hire in mass numbers: 1) The main concern of management regarding new recruits, mostly very young folks, is to sell them insurance to bloat sales results. 2) Alot of people are too smart to stay long. 3) After you leave they will call you and tell you you owe them money because policies you sold cancelled and they want their commission money back. In other words, you were good enough to get the business but this lousy company couldn't keep the business and now they want you to make up the difference. WOW! I got that call last night, my wife came to me terrified because someone left a message regarding a legal matter. When I called today, they started the conversation by asking if I wanted to settle this matter in an amicable way but I deferred an answer until I was told what it was about. When they did tell me and said I owed them $200, I laughed and then told them to send me a bill. They can burn in *** before I pay this. And I wouldn't even blink at or miss $200. Now that I think about it, I will pay them by sending them $200 in pennies. Stay far away from this company.

I worked for this company back in 2010 after I graduated from undergrad and was trying to find a career. I had always worked harder than anyone else in all my previous jobs and was told during the interview that you made more money the harder you worked as opposed to just making a certain amount per hour.

First I spent several hundred dollars to train myself so that I could get licensed, and then you are shown during a week of special training on how to coerce seniors into letting you into their houses. Then you drive all over the capital district trying to make a sale. Over the span of two months, I had 'made' $800, and I was working 100+ hours a week. I ended up getting a part time job in retail and was affected so much by getting an actual paycheck that I left Bankers.

I saw people who had been working there for years and they were going to file for bankruptcy. Two of my coworkers took me out to lunch and congratulated me for getting away. Everyone is miserable who works there. This is a commission only job, and they take most of your commission for providing you with services.

Then right before my year was up after leaving them, one of my previous sales went under and I had to pay back $137, I just sent in a check and got it over with because they make you sign a contract stating that if any of your sales don't last an entire year, you need to give the commission you received back, no matter what the status of employment is. The only positive thing I got out of this experience is the fact that I learned all about insurance. So when I started at my current job, I had an easier time of learning all the ins and outs of the insurance companies at the hospital I am now at.

Otherwise, stay far, far away from there. It will suck the life out of you and bleed you dry of money...

Can people be this ignorant?? All these complaints on here is totally ridiculous!

Welcome to insurance business!! Leads will never be perfect anywhere or everyone would do this!! They don't rip people off, bankers like other companies, educates the clients, asks questions to find out about their needs, then recommends a product/solution!! The business is the same as being commission and working as mortgage broker, real estate agent...

Exact same, they sell something, they make money and there is tons of turnover in those industries too. I have been in insurance biz for almost 10 years and make an average of over 170k per year...

Very compliantly and suitable, wouldn't risk my license. So please please don't listen to failures that can't make it in this biz!!!!

I'm actually currently going through the process of the training programs to understand their products and options with the life insurance, the medicare supplements, etc. I was wondering if you're still with the company and if you experienced any of the drastic complaints I've read here on the website.

I'm trying to remain confident that this could be a viable option for me to undertake, but I'm starting to get scared. Did you experience the drama some have written? If you left the company, did you get called and asked for the commission money back bc your policies through customers cancelled and they need money to overcome that?? That sounds like a reason to not try this bc this money would go towards my daily expenses, not just lying around collecting dust.

I'm already hearing from my family this is a scam, but the vibe I've gotten through the classes I've taken isnt that at all. I hope I'm choosing correctly.

Please, inform me of how bankers has worked for you, either positive or negative. You are the first person I've seen that has written something positive.
