WHY NOT RIP OFF SENIORS - Ampli Ear

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I purchased a device directly from Ampli Ear. In the first 24 hours after changing the battery once the drawer that houses it refused to be opened again. This in itself rendered the device useless. During the second day, I attempted to turn the dial to increase the volume. The *** came off in my fingers. Thus far I have contacted the company four times with no response. My emails to the company detailed the above and posed two solutions: 1) That the company send me a padded envelope with an enclosed, postpaid return label, that the device might be returned 2) The company simply send me a replacement device. Hearing is one of our five senses. The hearing-impaired are often reliant on simple devices to improve their quality of life. The company fails to recognize that they are in the health care business. Most hearing-impaired are seniors, many on fixed budgets. Easy targets for entities with no business ethics. Alec Moffat, Ph.D

Yeah we just got the one I ordered for him and it won’t quit buzzing. I am a nurse and figured he had it up to loud.

Nope. The only way to keep it from buzzingnis to take the battery out and even that is a hassle. We tried everything.

Quiet environment (which is stupid) the hearing aid is to help you hear. Amplify the sound.

They don't work

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I ordered two AmpliEar hearing aids for my dad. One hearing aid, the door wouldn't open to put the battery in. The second one, the door opened the first time to put the battery in just fine. We my dad had to replace the battery, the door wouldn't open. I called American Research Institute and talked with customer service. The lady really didn't care. Was not helpful at all. There was nothing in the paperwork in the package that said 30 day money back guarantee. I definitely would not recommend this product to anyone. Bad product, bad customer service.

Hearing piece is too big

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I cannot keep ear piece in my ear..... It is just too big! If they could make it smaller.... I would reorder.... After reading all the complaints, I don’t know if I should. My ear piece worked, but it would not stay in my ear. I think it would be perfect if it was half the size it is now. Can you get together with your manufacturers & devise a plan to change the size? In the long run, you could save money or make more ear pieces with the materials saved. Get your Board of Directors together and revise this ear piece to a more friendly useable operation‼️

Didn't fit; Unusable

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

The Ampliear device was too big. It kept falling out.

It fit better in right ear but could not see how the same device fit in the left ear. Frustration and disappointment. We had difficulty adjusting the volume to the correct level. The squealing sound was very uncomfortable.

We looked forward to this being a suitable alternative for hearing improvement rather than a thousand dollar (or more) hearing aid. Lesson learned: always check customer reviews (not on the official web site) to find out what real consumers have to say.

Had I done that, we wouldn't have purchased. Reminder: ONLY A 30 DAY REFUND GUARANTEE!!!

This company is a huge ***. I am totally disgusted that you took my card number. I am returning the aid. I am also reporting to the Better Business Bureau. The Ampliear aid. It does not work and it does not fit into my ear. I am quite disturbed by the amount of complaints on your website. You are ripping off many customers. You are a massive ***. I am returning the aid to you. You will remove my card from your website immediately. I am tired of mailing a wrong hearing aid to a previous company. They were no help at all. Company: AffordableHearing.com. Please resolve this quickly.

Rubbish

Thought my luck was in when this turned up within a couple of days of ordering. It isn't as small as the picture makes out but all the same looked ok and fitted in the ear ok enough.

Took 20 minutes to put in battery and then another 5 minutes to sort volume (without the "tool" which broke straight away. Worked ok for 10 minutes then stopped. Took it out and it had fell apart. Like others who's reviews I have sadly read after the event there is no money back.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS!!! It isn't worth the hassle or the embarrassment of being conned.

I am on my second day of using these. I have two.

While talking with someone today in the hospital my left one popped right out and into my lap. They are bulky and do not fit right into the ear canal where they will be snug. I adjust the sound when in my hand as it is impossible to do it when in the ear. Over the ear with a cone in the ear is more secure i think.

I may be returning these due to bulkiness. I also think they are made more for a mans ear.

Worthless piece of junk

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

My wife purchased 2 and after a couple of months I noticed she wasn't wearing them anymore. When I asked why she said she couldn't stand the constant "wind" noise they make.

I tried them myself and the only way you could lessen the noise was to turn the volume down to the lowest setting, but then your hearing was lessened - no need to wear them if it doesn't help with the hearing! Plus, when attempting to open the battery compartment, I spend quite a bit of time trying - poorly designed if you ask me. Don't waste your money on this.

From the way it "sounds" (pun intended)this company needs to be shut down.

Don't Waste Your Money!!!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

These things were huge! They wouldn't fit in my ears at all.

The product photos are very deceiving in showing you this "small" device on the finger tip. The ones I received weren't even the same ones as advertised. Not too mention the feedback was deafening, even for someone needing hearing aids! Worst product I ever bought.

They refunded my purchase price minus the $7 they charged for shipping and the $3 it cost me to ship them back. The company website doesn't have a "customer feedback" section to post this. Not that they would anyway even if they did.

I just want people to know about this product before they waste their time and money.

Ear plugs

The first time I tried your product it seemed to work well as far as hearing was concerned but it was difficult to remove and, when I did so, the little ear plug stayed in my ear. I then had to ask a friend to remove it with a pair of tweezers. I am, therefore, reluctant to repeat the experiment. Please contact me at 'giles.ybrik@***.com'. The two amplifiers arrived on subsequent days without a problem and seemed to be fine. ShouldI glue the ear plugs onto the device, and, if so, what glue should I use? I await you reply.

No effective control over volume

Having seen the advert for this ear device in a National newspaper I thought it would suit me better than the NHS Issue Hearing Aids. I do not particularly like the tubes protruding from the ear peice.

having bought the Ampli-Ear peices I have tried to adjust the volumn but no matter what setting they are on it is so sensitive and trying to listen to the TV is virtually impossible as the sound is so muffled.

Loud noises in daily life are so loud.

When outdoors the slightest wind blowing sounds like an express train coming up behind you. I have given them a really good trial but as far as I'm concerned I've unfortunately wasted close on £60 and have reverted to the truv 0[p;sted NHS Hearing Aids.
