We switched over our monitoring from ADT (it worked flawlessly for 13 years) because ADT had placed price increases on us twice in less than a year. I was told it would be a fairly seamless transition. Well, my alarm system has worked for a total of maybe 14 days since it was installed over two years ago! Called to Ackerman to cancel service to switch to another wireless provider, customer service promised 3 months free wireless monitoring to keep us; received the bill for the 1st quarter and the credit was not applied. I have had nothing but a headache with the SYSTEMS Monitronics has installed in my home. None of them have worked. I just had one installed 2 days ago. within 24 hours the system panel started Beeping intermitantly. Guess what I had to call monitronics and get them to turn off the beeping. I heard a beeping in the house. Called ADT and they said nothing was wrong. A few days later I traced the beep to the carbon monoxide detector. Called ADT and was placed on hold for quite a while. MY A/C UNIT stopped working, AHS, sent HARRELL HOME SERVICES to my home. TECH said evaporator coil was rotted out and wont hold Freon. To charge system would've cost me 500.00 and probably wouldn't hold the Freon. tech gave me $7999. for new system, I told AHS I wanted to cash out and get system fixed elsewhere. Twice in the last few months two different "technicians" (as they called themselves) cornered me when I was outside in my front yard. They have a slick sales tactic. They told me the neighbors on either side of me had their service, which is a complete lie because I asked my neighbors after the first guy told me that.
